Help unite families -- be a
Family History Missionary


What does a family history missionary do?

  • Assist patrons to:
    • Enter data in genealogy programs
    • Find ancestors on the Internet, etc.
    • Send family pedigrees to FamilySearch
    • Submit names for temple ordinances
  • Recieve comprehensive training that has been
    customized for the adult learner
  • Tutor a variety of training classses
  • Undergo on-the-job training
  • Acquire technical skills that will be useful long
    after a mission is completed


What skills are needed?

  • Good working knowledge of computers
  • Desire to help others


Ideal part-time missionary service for

  • Couples who are able to serve together
  • Singles, widows or widowers
  • Married individuals whose spouse is not able to serve


Note: Part-time involves 12 hours per week
