does a family history missionary do?
- Assist
patrons to:
- Enter
data in genealogy programs
- Find
ancestors on the Internet, etc.
- Send
family pedigrees to FamilySearch
- Submit
names for temple ordinances
- Recieve
comprehensive training that has been
customized
for the adult learner
- Tutor
a variety of training classses
- Undergo
on-the-job training
- Acquire
technical skills that will be useful long
after a mission is completed
What skills are needed?
- Good
working knowledge of computers
- Desire
to help others
Ideal part-time missionary service for
- Couples
who are able to serve together
- Singles,
widows or widowers
- Married
individuals whose spouse is not able to serve
Note: Part-time involves 12 hours per week
